The YSC14 Youth Stars Cup is an international tournament for U14 youngsters from all over the (bandy)world.

GT/76 Bandy is organizing the Youth Stars Cup 2025 between January 31st and February 2nd, 2025 at Gubbängens IP in Stockholm.

Our hope is that the Youth Stars Cup will be an unforgettable bandy weekend with exciting matches! We aim to create a cup with clubs from different geographies, so that the players get to face teams they've never played against before. We hope to experience great bandy, fair and even matches, and happy participants. Who knows, you might leave Stockholm with new bandy friends from all over the Nordic countries!

YSC 2025 - Participating clubs

Cup setup

• 8 teams are participating in YSC 2025.
• The cup will start with 2 pool games with 4 teams each.
• The 3rd and 4th teams from the pool games will play another placement pool (4 teams).
• The 1st and 2nd teams from the pool games will play semi-finals, bronze and final matches.
• Each team should play 5 to 6 matches in total, and on both the bandy hall and the outside pitches.

Match schedule (Preliminary overview)

Friday 31st January:

• The Cup will start around 14:00, where we will welcome the teams and provide access to the changing rooms.
• The first two matches are planned to start at 16:00 and we will play a total of 8 matches in the bandy hall and on the outside pitches (4 matches on each).
• The matches should finish around 20:00, and each team should play 2 matches that day.

Saturday 1st February:

• The first matches should start around 09:00 and end before 20:00.
• Each team should play between 2 and 3 matches that day.

Sunday 2nd February:

• The cup will end on 2nd February around 14:00, where our teams should be able pack and start their travel home.
• The first match should start around 09:00 and the final is scheduled round 11:30 to allow all other 6 teams to watch it.
• Each team should play 1 match on that day.

1. The match time is 2x20 minutes with a maximum 5 minute break at halftime. If the game schedule allows, 2x25 min is played in the playoffs. No timeouts.
2. Unlimited with replacement players allowed.
3. The team must unconditionally be ready for games on time, late arrival with 5 minutes means WO for the opponents (3-0)
4. Penalty time is 3 minutes.
5. Teams order in the group stage are distinguished as follows: Number of points - Goal difference - More goals made - Mutual meetings - Draw
6. Penalties are used in playoff games. Three penalties per team. Then sudden death penalties until a winner can be decided. The same player may not strike two penalties until all players (except goalkeepers) in the team have scored each penalty. Players who were expelled at the end of the match and players who received match penalties may not participate in the penalty. 
   (Pending full-time placement matches means split placement.) 
7. If the team has the same color on the jerseys, the team that stands as away team change jerseys.
8. No warming on ice
9. Sharpening skates takes place in a special room. All teams need to bring their own sharpening machine.
10. Any protests are submitted to the competition committee no later than half an hour after the match has ended, together with a protest fee of SEK 800. The fee is refunded if the protest is approved
11. In the event of unforeseen events, match times may change, each team is responsible for ensuring when matches begin
12. Others, the Swedish Bandy Association's competition rules apply.

Exemptions

For U14, players are allowed to fill a maximum of 14 years during the cup year.

All teams are allowed to bring an overaged player (one year older) if he has been granted a dispensation for league games. Exemption applications and any documents must be sent to the  cup management  no later than three weeks before cup start. For girls, the rule is that they may be two years older and not covered by the previous rule. Otherwise, dispensaries only apply if there are special reasons and are dealt with on a case-by-case basis, however, our attitude will be restrictive. In all cases, overaged players must be notified in advance.
